All medical procedures involve risks. Before proceeding with a cosmetic treatment, you should seek a second opinion from an appropriately qualified health practitioner.

Each patient must undertake a medical consultation with the treating nurse and prescribing doctor to determine suitability for treatment. The treating nurse has the right to refuse treatments when patients are not appropriate. Cosmetic injectable treatments are contraindicated in women who are pregnant, breastfeeding or trying to conceive.

A deposit is required for all appointment types, excluding follow-up consultations. The deposit will go towards the cost of treatment on the day of your appointment. A deposit cannot be used towards purchasing skincare, unless a skincare consultation has been booked.

Deposits for single treatments: $100

Deposits for multiple treatments: $150

Cancellation within 48 hours of your appointment, no-show, or late arrival: Deposit will be forfeited.

Cancellations outside of the 48-hour cancellation period: Full deposit refund.

Our time is precious. We respectfully request 48 hours’ notice when cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. If you have a scheduled appointment, you will receive an email reminder three days prior to your appointment and an SMS reminder two days prior your appointment. This reminder is a courtesy and does not remove your responsibility for keeping appointments once you have made them.

Missed appointments will incur a loss of your booking deposit (deposits range from $100-$150 depending on the service booked). If you cancel or reschedule your appointment within 48 hours of the booking time or arrive more than 15 minutes late to your appointment, this fee will also apply.

Thank you for ensuring that other patients have the opportunity to book an appointment when you are no longer able to make your appointment time. A $30 doctor’s consultation fee will be charged for all medical treatments at Butter. This fee is paid on the day of treatment and covers the initial consultation with the prescribing doctor, which remains valid for 12 months. If there are significant changes to your medical history, medications, or you wish to modify your treatment plan before it is due for renewal, this fee may apply again.

Butter Cosmetic + Skin Clinic will not treat patients under the age of 18 (regardless of parental/guardian consent). We may request proof of age at your appointment. Please bring photo ID with you to all appointments.

For your safety, we ask that you do not bring children or friends with you to your cosmetic injectable appointments.

This site is not intended for individuals under the age of 18.

Butter Cosmetic + Skin Clinic is committed to maintaining privacy and confidentiality at all times and requires that any information regarding individual patients, will not be disclosed in any form (verbally, in writing, or electronically, inside or outside our clinic) except for strictly authorised use within the patient care context or as required by law.

For the purposes of this policy, no distinction has been made between the handling of personal information and sensitive information (including health information), therefore all information will be referred to as "personal information".

Examples of types of personal information we collect includes (but is not limited to) the following:

• Name, date of birth, address, telephone number, email address

• Sensitive information about a patient such as but not limited to; past medical history, medications, allergies, previous cosmetic treatments and complications, aesthetic treatment goals, social history, family history, cultural background, patient photos and videos

The primary purpose in collecting and holding personal information is to provide safe and effective outcomes following cosmetic treatments and comprehensive skin consultation and product advice.

When we collect personal information, we will (where appropriate and where possible) explain to you why we are collecting the information and how we plan to use it.

Team members working for Butter Cosmetic + Skin Clinic receive training on the importance of keeping medical and other personal information confidential and are bound by internal information security policies and confidentiality obligations.

Afterpay and Zip Pay is now available for all treatments and products purchased in clinic. These payment methods are not available for online purchases.

Please allow 2-4 business days for your order to be processed and prepared before shipping. Please contact us if your order is urgent and we will endeavour to process it as soon as possible.

Standard shipping is $10.95 and express shipping is $14.95. Standard gift card shipping is $3.95. All orders are dispatched from Hobart. You will be notified as soon as your order has been shipped and provided with a tracking number. You can track your order and view estimated shipping times on the Australia Post website.

At this stage, we do not offer shipping outside of Australia.

Free local pickup is available from Butter Cosmetic + Skin Clinic for all online orders. Please allow 2-4 business days for your order to be processed and prepared prior to collection. Please contact us if your order is urgent and we will endeavour to process it as soon as possible.

You will be contacted directly via phone or email to arrange a suitable pickup date and time from the clinic.

Please ensure you bring your order confirmation with you when picking up your order.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns or provide refunds on any skincare products. Butter Bags can be exchanged for a Butter E-Gift card within 14 days of purchase if in unused and unwashed condition. Please email info@buttercosmeticandskin.com.au to request an exchange. Return of The Butter Bag is at the expense of the buyer. We recommend asking for a tracking number.

Gift vouchers can be used towards cosmetic injectable appointments at Butter Cosmetic + Skin Clinic and The Secret Skincare Base Range only. Gift vouchers expire 12 months after the date of purchase.
